compliance question

ok ill start with i cant spell :)

i have found an FTO white GPX its been in an acsadent no shazy damage just needs a new bonet lights and frount bumper its in a dismantlers they only want $3000

but its never been complyed

so what do i do buy it as spair parts for when i need them or have it as a hobby car work on it slowly and get it complyed ?????

and how do you get it complyed lol oh and cost ???

compliance is around $2000 - $4000

and just out of curiosity why cant you spell?

im dislexic and have problems with words iv never used befor :)

Xanetia - I'll put my money up front and say that it probably can't be complied or road registered ever, if they are selling it like that. $3k is dirt cheap, and whilst it looks like a bargain, it's not going to be if you can't register it.

First things I'd ask them is:
- how long has it been in Australia
- how come it's not complied

I'd be interested in hearing why!

hi its been in aus for 6 months was damaged while on rout buy tow truck and owners back in hong kong and sent it straight to dismantlers as he can bring another one back with him with him ... yup it sounds suss but what would it be worth as spair parts ??

dont know it just looks sad sitting there :) ok im a softy and one day hubbys car will need bits :)

That story definitely doesn't add up. Dodgies for sure.

But anyway, it could also be used as a track/race car? Or strip for parts - but better to avoid the need for parts, don't crash! :)

lol ill never crash the one we have im not aloude to drive it lol

might leave the other one there but if any one in sa needs parts its there

With the new system introduced a couple of years ago, no car with accident damage (structural) is legally allowed to be complied. So the best you will likely be able to use it for is spare parts (or maybe a track car).
