i have found an FTO white GPX its been in an acsadent no shazy damage just needs a new bonet lights and frount bumper its in a dismantlers they only want $3000
but its never been complyed
so what do i do buy it as spair parts for when i need them or have it as a hobby car work on it slowly and get it complyed ?????
and how do you get it complyed lol oh and cost ???
Xanetia - I'll put my money up front and say that it probably can't be complied or road registered ever, if they are selling it like that. $3k is dirt cheap, and whilst it looks like a bargain, it's not going to be if you can't register it.
First things I'd ask them is:
- how long has it been in Australia
- how come it's not complied
hi its been in aus for 6 months was damaged while on rout buy tow truck and owners back in hong kong and sent it straight to dismantlers as he can bring another one back with him with him ... yup it sounds suss but what would it be worth as spair parts ??
dont know it just looks sad sitting there ok im a softy and one day hubbys car will need bits

That story definitely doesn't add up. Dodgies for sure.
But anyway, it could also be used as a track/race car? Or strip for parts - but better to avoid the need for parts, don't crash!
With the new system introduced a couple of years ago, no car with accident damage (structural) is legally allowed to be complied. So the best you will likely be able to use it for is spare parts (or maybe a track car).
