Coil Help (Photo's Incl)

Post by gazeek »

Can anyone help me here ? ... Are these the stock springs that come with a 95 FTO GPX ? ... They dont look like it ...

Or if their not , can someone explain why they are a strange design ? like coiled up down one end but not the other ?...

Cheers

p.s .. yes their both the same size , its just the angle..

No they are definitely not stock springs. Usually a graduated change in the coil would mean different compression at different levels of force, but I dont know what it means when that is in the middle.

Oh, and if you have dramas with those and cant make the rattles stop, I have a full set of stock springs I can get to you. Otherwise, you can pick up a set of King Springs for just over the $200 mark.

    Thanks for the tip :)

Yea i just had them removed and put in a set of king springs ... The mechanic couldnt tell me what they were for either , he thought maybe some sort of racing or drifting and they compress up pretty hard ...

Eh ill just put em up for sale see if anyone wants em..

Yeah I don't even think that the stock FTO has got that many coils which is why it's kinda hard to lower the FTO without buying lowered springs.

Yea im heaps happier now ...

I got my Kings for $180 , they made my car look even lower at the back (must of been shorter) , given me a much smoother ride , and got rid of that bloody knocking noise i used to hear going over any slightest bump you can imagine ... Feels like a new car now :)
