I've had a quick read through DIY...

wont the perspex go all cloudy and stuff from the heat? as i'm typing right now the perspex window on my computer case is sh!tting me off cos it's foggy from the heat and vibrations.

its doesn't and mine has been there for ages and my car generates more heat than a FTO. But it does get dirty. I can try and fine out what it was...this design was copied of some1 else.

This is mine for the FTO...looks funny but works really well and took me about 15mins.

ok, i was just checking thats all :)

another thing came to my mind just then:
depending on the thickness of the perspex u might want to check the screw holes as for they might crack, well at least they do on the cheap thin sheets of perspex that's on computer cases (i put it down to the cases being made in china and they tightened up the screws too tight)..

if u r worried about it, just loosen the screws and put a rubber washer between the perspex and screws.
