Thinking of making Heat shield for pod filter??
Okay i have a pod filter and have had for a while... I've finally decided to make a heat shield for it...
I've had a quick read through DIY...
I want to use about 2mm aluminium and just pretty much box in my pod filter...
then also thinking about a CAI into it... any ideas or tips would be great? would aluminium be okay?
mxsxy, u r ment to be good with this crap.. tips?

its doesn't and mine has been there for ages and my car generates more heat than a FTO. But it does get dirty. I can try and fine out what it was...this design was copied of some1 else.BorepYano wrote:wont the perspex go all cloudy and stuff from the heat? as i'm typing right now the perspex window on my computer case is sh!tting me off cos it's foggy from the heat and vibrations.
This is mine for the FTO...looks funny but works really well and took me about 15mins.

ok, i was just checking thats all
another thing came to my mind just then:
depending on the thickness of the perspex u might want to check the screw holes as for they might crack, well at least they do on the cheap thin sheets of perspex that's on computer cases (i put it down to the cases being made in china and they tightened up the screws too tight)..
if u r worried about it, just loosen the screws and put a rubber washer between the perspex and screws.
