Crap!

Someone on SAU said you'd crashed..oh well dude, all the best, at least you're okay, lemme know if you need help getting spare parts.

GTST + wet = :?
I have 255s on the back, still get no love in the rain. Gotta go easy in a GTST when it's wet.

Hehe. It was so long ago I cant remember. I think I'll survive finacially without the refund. I may save it for a rainy day though :)

Hey man nothign wrong with racing with your FTO, i mean if we all wanted a fast car.. lets face it, i wouldn't have a bought an FTO.
now of course im not gonna go arnd racing S15s or rexi's or skylines, but its fun to race once in a while lol but yea, fto needs to be a bit faster but I don't mind a race with something that i wont get ripped too bad by lol..
i bought it cos of the looks and handling, and YEA it's a sports car :D
but no harm in racing

EDIT: well anyway by what u say, its not as bad as it looked in the pic, will set u back a few $$$ but u shuld be aight

this tread is not about an arguement about FTOs an racing...I notice a lot of FTO owners are sensitive about that...probably for a good reason.

Its about my f^&king car and how it was smashed...if u don't wanna talk about that start a new thread..

Tarkus
where did it happen Chris?
On the way from ringwood (eastland) going up to north ringwood on warrendyte road....(can't spell it)

Nar forgot to take photos of the pole....

Yeah I'm hoping for a "write-off" as I have some ideas for a new car already...looks like its a 50-50 chance of write off.

go full comp....and I will get my exhaust/emanage etc back yay - going straight into the FTO...ready for the next one...maybe a R32 GTR. But my workshop has a R33 S2 for sale fully worked for about 20k...with an R34 engine...he keen to sell so i I might buy that. go some stupid amount of power....and can run on like 20psi...about he says 14 just to be safe...hehehe lets hope for a write off boys!!!!

athough I'm in 2 minds regarding the write off situation. It took me a while to find an R33 in the condition I did...the inside was very clean (not perfect) but clean and the owner had kept it in great condition....the compression test results were around the 170 mark which was really good (although subjective)

but then again the clutch was crapola and was going to be replaced soon...so thats one thing..in fact if they don't write it off I will complain and say the clutch was awsome and didn't make any noises before and see if they will re-co or replace it :P (throw out bearing is making a noise!)

front breaks were gonna be replaced soon...and the wheels are probably no good...so...they may be a whole range of good things going down.

c how we go and I will know by Thursday..

initially i was worried about my mods (boost control/pod/emange etc) but I told them at the time of the claim and they said it makes no difference...so thats good I guess..they said though those bits are not covered..as they will replace with OEM as necessary...but these bits were ok.

of an the front struts were going to be replaced also...so in the end I'm happy (if I can be happy) that is happened now and not in 3 months when I had spent another 3k on the thing!!

also note to all FTO owners...update to policy for all u aftermarket bits (suspection etc) cos u will not be covered unless u tell them...ie if they get smashed they will replace with stock....not cool!! in some cases u might not even be covered at all..check it out.

sorry to go off topic chris, but if you ever need parts for your 33 let me know .. ive got a contact in croydon who has supplied ample loads of parts for my mates r32. he is a mechanic and an importer. He can bring in 33's, 32's, or 34's for you and has a few in his workshop for sale at the moment.
Also bear in mind that you can use a exedy clutch that is suitable for a nissan patrol?? or some other four wheel drive - forget what it is.... it works beautifully on the skyline and its cheap....(as its not considered a clutch for a sports car).

Full respray  & some really mean wheels should go well. yahoo action japan have some really nice wheels, should check it out.

I've got my BBS from there, it will cost you a bit, but still cheaper then getting them in Australia.

yeah the wheels and tyres will be next...might not go crazy...some stock GTR type rims go in the forusm regularly...this would make me happy.
