So I raced this Audi A4 with 280kw.....

Post by khunjeng »

and this was the result....I'm so sad.... :(

dunno what happened, was only going about 60...lost all traction and went into a pole...I suspect the following factors may have contributed

Tyres not the best...but ok
Rain...just starting raining
Maybe some oil...
Too much power...:P

I was in 3rd gear also.

shite... that sucks chris.

33's and 32's are very very hard to control in the wet.... especially with the boost up. A mate of mine almost lost control on the eastern freeway just dropping from 4th to 3rd....

Well at least you ok Chris.

You don't have much luck with newly brought car do u, it first happen to your FTO & now your R33 :?

What sort of tyres you using & what are the spec as in 235,245,255...etc

Is the insurance going to write it off??

Not sure yet Kev I will find out today I guess. As for the tyres they are good but not in the best condition...245/50s on the rear from memory.

yeah not much luck...however this is what insurance is for...so it will be either written off and I get the cash or they fix it. From what I could see there was no engine damage...but u can't be sure until u have a proper look. only the bonnet is screwed all the other panels are still in perfect condition.

as I didn't hit it that hard and the pole was a metal one which fell over...all my intrecooler and piping looked like normal...so it might be the case of the radiator/fans and pullies being replaced...if thats all I'm quite happy cos I was gonna replace the pullies anyway..this might be a good way to get the timing belt done also :P

Lets think about the real victim here people...

What happens with the pole? :)

Do you have to pay for it to get fixed as well? Does insurance cover that?

Sorry just curious.

That should be cover by TAC, it is part of our rego fee. Chris have you done a check up after the accident?

A doctor said to me that you might feel ok & caim after an accident, but you won't get the "after effect" until later on. And if you do have to go through some procedure (which i'm sure you won't), they are also cover by TAC as well.

its either covered by your rego or your insurance...eitehr way I'm not concerned....

I didn't hit it too hard...I got out straight away and although i was a bit shocked I only had a sore arm...I've been ok since then...

thanks for asking btw...instead of making comments about racing cars!!

How long ago was that? Try to lodge a claim & see if you can get a refund on it.
