It is true Skylines are the new benchmark for straight line speed, and it is due the fact they are so common.
also quite a few posts back some one mentioned beating a vt SS, an fto with minor mods or manual should be able to beat a VT SS Series 1 Auto, so its not just the driver.
But the 5.0L is old news! Why would you even bother to compare a 5.0L to a FTO when the Gen 3 is all over the place??

Its like saying FTO's are quicker than the RB30 but in reality the RB25 and RB26 are the benchamarks.

That was in reply to someone else beating an SS VT, I was merly pointing out that the Series 1 only had the 5.0l
