thats very true, i guess its cause people who havent driven an fto, hasnt come screaming out of a corner at 8k, and beeing immersed in their seat

I have neva had d feeling that my car is slow after the conversion and I am definitely happy the way the motor performs though this time around i been wanting to extract more HP out of it.

My car ran 14.6 @ 96MPH ad d recent DRAG COMBAT (WSID) and the motor is dead stock. I lined up with dc2R with mugen exhaust cat back and pod filter and we both managed to run a 14.7 ET knowing that this guys is a more expereinced driver than I am launching at 5k RPM (near the VTEC YO!!!!! zone) this car is a lot newer with low k's. Many people were surprised with my timeslips and left them wondering what I got under the hood. I dont even think any stock FTO can run high 14's - low 15's. Not that I heard of any

You havent even driven your car to test its full potential and i have no idea where u getting the idea that your car is slow and doesnt give much of a difference vs your old 4g93 SOHC. For me that is a bit hard to believe, trust me no stock 4g93 SOHC can keep up with 6A12 both low end n high end speed. Trust me any FTO MIVEC can kickkk MR Lancer anytime anywhere - without even revving pass the 6K RPM.
fair enuff u werent impressed with your car's perfromance. But as u said, You arnt as crazy driver as i am and u treat your car like your baby - TELL me, whats d point of doing the conversion if your not to enjoy the power u get out of it (not saying u should drive it like u stole it). You could of simply stick with your old engine and drive it like u normally would.....I have driven your car one time and didnt feel any difference compare to mine - d only thing i can say though is that my clutch has got more punch than your one. But torquewise - it is the same!!!....Relax, I didnt trash your car - I just wanted to feel how your clutch holds up.

But as the TOPIC is all about:
Drive your car first and enjoy the power u get in stock form. Then say after couple of months u feel like u need more power then, do the I/h/E first. Followed by bigger TB with match intake. Spark plugs n lead will help to burn fuel quickly. This time around the motor will tend to lean a bit - so u'l prolly need FPR to adjust fuel pressure. Port n polich the head. ECU upgrade, bigger injectors and the list goes on. with the above ,120KW is easy. It always come back to how much power u wanna achieve an how much $$$ your willing to spend.

i must say,

there isnt any other engine i know of that is a 2lt v6...so i think in its own right it is good...Compared to sr20dets, rb26's, hahah well they are in different league

but the other engines that are better than the 6a12 mivec considering 2lts NA would be the s2000( f20c) and the integra type r (JDM K20a) but these engines were designed 4 years later...

There are other 2lt v6 engine, i know mazda has one and ummmm audi quattro did, alfa romeo and i think jag. there are morei just cant think of them right now

looks ok, but had around 110 at the fly wheel i think. not very sprited in IMO

I know the car isn't "slow"
And I know it will beat most cars on the road, minus modified turbo cars.
It's just that with a 14.6 400m time I thought I would be pushed back onto the seat but I wasn't.
Anyway, you are right, I driven my car without MIVEC kicking in (has that changed now or not?) and it seemed to be running out of fuel.
Your car felt much much much quicker than mine, but Charlie did say it needs to be setup.

Anyway, Charlie told me maybe this saturday I get it back...

Gotta call him tonight.

As with power atw:
The way I see it, is if a 1.8 Lancer does 60kw atw, and a MIVEC V6 does 95, then it only does 35 kw extra, where it has near 65 kw more at the flywheel.

there was a 2.0 V6 version of the eunos 30, drink heaps of petrol though, & of course its a spin off of a 323 Astina in the same era. The later on MX6/626 & Ford Probe had the same engine too.

First of all, N/A doesnt give that PUSH that a TURBO car does(well not as much). N/A moves as you plant your right foot onto the accelerator - therefore giving you linear power delivery as a result to this - u feel like theres no push but come to think about it d reason why u dont feel it is becos your back is always pushed back onto to drivers seat

n think that its not moving at all

Cyber Prelude hasnt even driven by the owner on d road - ITS SHOW PONY

It even share the same chassis as the MX6, just rebadged & cosmatic.

If you look on the Richard Batty's 1/4 mile league you'll find about a dozen FTOs that have ran high 14s/low 15s without the aid of turbos or NOS

Yeah I know that, but what i said was STOCK! Those that ran 14's - 15's has got mods in it like the usual i/h/e and other bolt ons.

My car is STOCK and it ran a 15.232, I know Richard Griffiths car is also stock and ran 15.070

Hey Rich, i though Vlad (d_stroy_r) said he done lots of work on his FTO, so how come its even slower then a stock FTO??
