I didn't want to say anything before the committee has a word on this matter because I wanted to know more about the issue at hand from both sides of the fence. Now I am not taking any sides here but at the risk of being flamed, i believe that to a degree, both parties have their fair share of blame...
as Eric mentioned, this has become a business transaction due to monies being exchanged.
However, Steve's incapacity to follow through or respond to the escalation being brought upon him (in reference to the business dealing which appear to have failed) in a timely and appropriate manner may need to be addressed.
My impression of this saga tells me that Steve has overcommitted himself (in the nicest posible way) and perhaps he should really think about how he can better utilise his time & resources (state delegates) to ease the burden on him as far as the club is concerned...
by the same token, the method of escalation used by guni could have been handled better without jeopardising the club's reputation. I could smell trouble from a mile away when this subject initially showed up due to its accusive and provocative title... I will not pretend to know or understand how frustrating it would have been for Guni, but surely there are better alternatives to pursue appropriately when there are urgent issues that need to be escalated... Posting a thread with such titles is not going to help make things easier either...
don't get me wrong, i love this club and the committee has my full support, but as a member i also believe that this club has an obligation to serve its people in a reasonably responsive manner. As a member I also encourage others to think of the bigger picture, and especially think about the possible consequences of your own actions.
Now.... has anybody seen my Vortex?
(yes, this is my cheap attempt at getting this thread off-topic so that it has another good reason to be locked)
