Rev/Speed times

Post by d_stroy_r »

I just got a Apexi Rev speed meter and was wondering what times everyone has got so far (including other rev/speed tools)?

Mine:
0-100= 6.49
1/4 Mile= 14.99 (haven't tested that much, due to been so illegal)

Ps: I know it's not 100% accurate, i just want to see what times everyone has got.

I do flat sevens with my RSM. Can't say bout the 1/4 mile, as like you said it's bit dangerous around town. :|

i don't have an RSM but i played with my friend's G-tech about 2 months ago...

0-100 : 5.8s
0-400 : 14.2s (with lots of wheelspin, damp surface and 2800rpm clutch dump)

this was performed in a 'controlled' environment of course... ;)

are those figures right?

i always thought the fto would only be around 7.4 to 8 seconds 0-100km
because wrx does 0-100 in about 6.5 seconds and s200 6.2ish seconds??? :?

haha.

nothing wrong with those figures for GPXXX's ride... I would expect with more developements, proper timing, & launching see his car run under 14 seconds easy...

Mikey is one of those special ppl with a turbo... so it's expected...

The times are right for the timing equipment used

Put a car on a drag strip with both a RSM and G-Tech unit and you'll get three different results inline with each of the three different timing devices.

Each type of timing device will have its inaccuracies and other factors which will alter the outcome. As long as you understand this and understand the figures aren't gospel, then all should be OK.

well it's not easy to get 0-100 below 5s with half tank of fuel, 2 passengers onboard, damp road surface and 320NM at the wheels! :P:oops:

If you are finding that you are making to much low down torque then you could always try removing the butterfly system from the intake manifold. As this was designed to create low end torque. (you will probably make a few KW’s up top end also.)

But if your happy with the torque just ignore what i said. :D
