So the bushes Repco gave me weren't actually sway bar bushes...not sure how that happened but got them refunded anyway. Will get those switched at a later date.

And funny story about the one who did the wheel alignment at Pedders, he bought an FTO and joined this forum the day after.

On that cruise I found out the car has a hd clutch, also managed to disconnect the antenna since (thanks Kiz ahaha).

New engine mounts in (gear changes definitely easier).

Gutter rash from the previous owner touched up with a matte black paint pen.

Ditched the P plates. :thumright:

Looks good, love the fact the first thing you sorted was the suspension. These things handle great if they're suspension is well maintained

Those rims really suit the car. Wierd stereo surround. Looks like some sort of custom jobbie.

Thank you! Means a lot when others appreciate the style of it. I'll pile it up with more stickers and stuff as I go, less is more but I wanna have the cutesy JDM thing going on too haha.
Ahaha yeah definitely...some unexpected costs and blunders but I was prepared and I'm glad for the experience, best way of learning. :)

A lot of people take notice...really happy with them. And yeah it looks way off compared to all the others I've seen...
Not too fussed though, interior doesn't bother me haha.

Okay so here's where things got kinda ugly. I've been trying to get the Mitsubishi sticker off for a long time...turns out only lettering would come off (few months back). Tried every method (don't make me list it all) but long story short, I gave up and got the sandpaper out to find out once and for all if that greyish area was sticker residue or not.
The odd thing was that the grey area was always indented, like clear coat damage but it bubbled at the edges so it was hard to tell. What got me was how it could be in a such a perfect rectangular shape.

So I scrubbed and it turns out there was no sticker after all. It's now down to the primer. :facepalm2:
No loss though since it was damaged to begin with and I would've had to do something about it anyway, this just made it 100% known.
Luckily there's a paint and panel shop 5 minutes from me. :)
Not so luckily they wanted $450 for a respray.
In the same day I called up all the wreckers I could and found another bootlid for half the price, will probably go get it next week, if not too expensive I'll grab the spoiler with it (you can see mine's peeling..)

That happened a couple of days ago..which brings us up to date, DIY day is in a couple of weeks (I think?)

Anyway, sorry about the poor photos, I'll get hold of a decent camera at some point.
Next up is getting the new boot lid, polishing the headlights and caliper painting (got 2 cans of Duplicolor 'Grabber Green' ordered and sitting on the shelf.) ;)
But all in good time. :)

Okamitengu and I both need gearbox work so maybe see that in the future, got a HKS Super Power Flow on the way as well.

And of course, the eternal hunt for a VR wing...I've warmed to the idea of the carbon fibre one from the group buy..would perfect the car IMO.
All hanging in the balance...we'll see how we go haha.

    I'm sorry.. ahaha

No no, actually Jai and I were talking and were thinking of trying ourselves with some instruction on the side (insane perhaps, I don't know). But not right now anyway.
And you (and my bank account) need a break so I'm not doing any more major work for a while. I honestly can't thank you enough Tim, I probably would've had to sell this if it weren't for you.

Glad to know your cat likes it as well. ;)

No way, if I were to ask, it would've been way back, I wouldn't do it to him now ahaha.

    ...actually...hey Kiz?

How do you feel about gearbox rebuilds?
