That's a new one.
Meanwhile, as said.
It's better to drop the tank to clean it out.
And realistically, you're better off having it professionally done.
I'm sure there's a DIY guide to installing the fuel pump, or atleast search Bennoz's build.

That half hour is an extended time for when you are taking it easy and hanging around with some mates and includes the time of jacking up the car and getting underneath.

Bet you changing your pump wont do anything as all fuel pumps whine. And yes with the seat out you will hear the pump whine.

I don't notice the factory pump so much, but the Walbros are definitely loud!
So...
Also, don't buy off eBay, buy local.

FLOL.
Even in my station wagon, all the way up the back of the car, and buried beneath 3 layers of metal I could still hear the Walbro.
had complete knobs stand at the back of the car and say "OH mad, it's Supercharged"... dafuq.

There's more to it than just the whine. Its not a subtle whine this is a VERY noticeable one from the outside of the car. People have commented about how loud my whining "exhaust" was, just it's the pump not the exhaust. My car also can't sit at at speed without the revs fluctuating slightly.payaya wrote:Bet you changing your pump wont do anything as all fuel pumps whine. On a flat rd (ie highway) i'll be doing 100 and watch the revs flickering slightly. Starting when cold and hot are good first crank but when it's cooled down for half and hour or so but still warm it cranks but doesn't start. Fuel filter has been changed so it's not a block. The spark plugs are fine (front bank anyway) and the leads are (or should be) fine for another (10,000km). Then there was the whole trouble i've been having when it's hot weather.
