God damn germans.
Takes deep breath.
Raises hand in the air with index finger extended.
Realises 'why bother'.
Continues to eat his food shaking his head from what he heard.

Guys I wasnt talking about the bleed valve that some cars have up top of the coolant system piping, im saying that either we couldnt find, or there is no (which is what im thinking - we looked pretty hard) drain valve on the bottom of the radiator. We ended up having to empty the rad through the bottom coolant pipe and undo the pipe at the bottom of the reservoir (which was the only place to fill the coolant from - not the top of the rad, it is up near the firewall) and also refill it through there.
Thank you Phil
Only question now is.. where is the fan switch
I fix cars.

I beg to differ.. I hate german engineering.
hating their engineering, and them making a piece of crap... your Barina, are different statements.
eg. My new Holden broke down
eg. My Mercedes is due for its 500,000k service, but it can wait another thousand.
Meanwhile, like some of the smaller engines you might find that the bleed valve is in fact on the engine.
But it's good practice to drain by the hose anyway as it allows more crap out than a pee hole.
I had a better search of the problem this morning and its a common problem. Apparently some dealers have been saying its meant to get up high like that while others say its not. My guess is that it isnt
How high is too high in terms of temperature? I want to see when the fans kick in but I am really reluctant to get it up near 100 degrees.. what can it get to before it starts to damage the engine/blow gasket etc?
I fix cars.

Had a fun night at work last night doing deliveries with the barina. It spins up the front wheels when the road is wet. Was doing handbrake slides and "burnouts" all night on my way from deliveries (but not to them, didnt wanna make the drinks move around and get shaken up)

Barina
I'm pretty sure almost anything spins in the wet.
Not quite a burnout either, more like a wetout. Sounds kinda perverse.
