So glad I spent all that money on the red coating, you can really see it

Haven't gone for much more than a few laps of the block at this stage, so can't really give a detailed review yet.
I can say that it behaves like quite the gentleman when slow speed manouvering, no more clunking & neck snapping clutch plate chatter.
It drives just like a normal full slip diff. The only chance I had to punch it was down Sunnyholt road breifly & its just like it used to, it left
2 thick black tracks all the way down to my turn off

In going to go easy on it till next Tuesday when I'll do an oil change on the box. Call me paranoid, but because it was a ground up rebuild
including clusters & syncros, I want to bed it in a bit first.

Then, come Wednesday next week I might throw her down the strip at Eastern Creek before a full blown run at Wakfield on Thursday
Sounds like a good idea...
I just had to add it ......

Can you note if the turning line changes depending on your throttle input?
With my cusco 1.5 way the turning line changes if I press a bit of throttle, coast or decelerate. A bit annoying to be honest

That pissed me off to no end with the old Cusco. It was super exaggerated in my car, full boost if you weren't ready could throw you into a tree when the line changed so dramatically. I'd go from following a nice line to almost an under steer situation.

No signs of that with this yet, but wont really find out till Thursday.

No, not run it down the strip in its current guise. Last time I did was with the old GR motor on happy gas & it ran a 14.9.

The diff is sensational. Whatever the 'Wavetrac' centre design does to keep power down during traction loss, it does it really really well. Even taking off in a straight line in a hurry, I can feather the throttle in 1st & 2nd, put about 70% power down & still have traction. Certainly a shitload more than the Cusco, when it got too much throttle it just locked up the clutch plates & wheelspan. This new diff is much nicer to drive with.

There's is also no line changing during corners when different levels of throttle are applied & it feels like a normal full slip diff when slow speed manouvering. I'll never go back to Cusco again, this is far superior.

Oh & you should have seen the colour of the oil that came out of the box this weekend, I did it's first flush & from now on I recommend anyone who's had a ground up box rebuild - do a 1000km oil change. It was black...

Good to hear about the diff. Maybe one day I will swap over my Cusco LSD as well. How much do you think I can sell it for?

Maybe your oil is black due to the power you run? ie, you're slowly turning your gearbox internals to shrapnel!

By the way, what final drive do you run?

Bennoz I forgot to ask, with my 1.5 way if I put 1 wheel on grass and the other on pavement, it will still leave a black mark on the pavement on take off. What would your wavetrac do?
