heaps of tread, and they're round.
certainly doesnt sound like a tyre noise though.
Mechanic at one point thought it was piston slap as it does it under load and in the rpm range, but it doesnt do it when you turn right, only when you turn left. Or have any small degree of left steer.
have new tyres going on this weekend hopefully.
and I'll put the old rvr pads on for now, see if that does anything.
F'ing annoying this.

Might take you up on that.Bennoz wrote:I can get you a poly lower rear mount if you like. Need an old one to make it from thou, they cost about $180.
Currently mine isnt a mount, its a hole with a bolt sitting in the bottom of said hole.
Didn't really look, but do the mounts bolt to the engine or the gearbox?
If gearbox I'll have to remove mine due to I'm sure it being different than a 4spd or manual.

They bolt to the box. The bracketry is the same across the range thou. To get it out, you just need to drop the cross member off.

Hate to sound like captain obvious, but is it perchance, the brake dust gaurd rubbing against the back of the disc? On full lock, it can be bent by contact with the lower control arm & pushed against the disc.... been down that road before.Astron_Boy wrote:Car is still making that grinding/ swooshing... something sound from the front right wheel.

First thing I checked Captain Obvious.Bennoz wrote:Hate to sound like captain obvious, but is it perchance, the brake dust gaurd rubbing against the back of the disc? sadly it wasn't it, which is why I began this whole journey into wasting money fixing a noise

Yeah, I know about needing to drop the cross member, honestly not happy doing that as the cross member is warped/ bent, and looks like one of the bolts is misaligned and ready to snap off if I remove it

Don't want to pay a mech to do it, but don't want to do it myself for fear of f**king something.
Same goes for the belt and cam seals
