Lol tippin I hope you're kidding!
Putting that sh*t in my car would be like be stabbing myself, I'd never do it and it would hurt me to no end to do so
I've never ever put non-premium in my car. I only did it once and that was only like $5 worth cos my car was just below a quarter tank and I didn't want it to go any lower in fuel otherwise it'd start sucking up all the sh*t sitting at the bottom of my fuel tank as it got closer to empty.
So $5 worth till I found a petrol station which had 98 ron =P

Well almost, but it's not quite that simple.
You can still get a high RON even with ethanol; Ben don't you remember that V Power Racing (not made anymore) was 100 RON with a 5% ethanol blend?
Having said that, ethanol by volume has less chemical energy than petrol; which means that although it makes the fuel cheaper, you need more of it to go the same distance.
Long story short, stick to 100% petrol 98 RON fuels, you can't go wrong (BP Ultimate for me).

Hmm, no wonder BP ultimate gave me like 45 kms more out a tank than vortex.
Either that or once you start putting a certain type of fuel in your car (ie - if you always put in BP ultimate your car will get "used to it" and prefer it).
I noticed this cos BP ultimate always gives me the best economy.

Yeh it was on today tonight. Something about some petrols are better suited to different driving conditions eg. City driving and highway driving..Supplanter wrote:I read a news article recently (I think it was also on Today Tonight, not that that proves anything) that in the long run E10 is more expensive to use than 95 anyway.

i used to use a 98ron ethanol blend.. can't remember what the gas station was called anymore. running non stop it made no difference to performance nor milage, the problem i found with it is that it seems to evaporate faster while not being used. i.e. i used to drove like.. 150km a week max and with normal fuel i fill up once a month, but with ethanol blend i had to fill up once every 3 weeks or so.
but 1 week when i had to drive heaps and heaps, did the same k's on ethanol blend as i did with normal 98ron.
just my 2c
