Hey ruchi, will those theory change if you use oil addictive? I'm aware there are few ppl here use them.

Long answer:
While the oil additives should help by increasing viscosity thereby reducing engine wear, you still want to get your engine up to operating temperature as quickly as posible to create the seal between the piston rings and the chamber walls. Until this seal occurs the air/fuel mixture can contanimate the oil and the pressure of the compression will also be lower.

mine does.. apparently it's the clutch - it bites more when it's cold, but starts to slip a little when warmed up (which s why it's smoother on the pickup). It depends on how brutal you are on the clutch, if you pop it during accel. when the car is cold, then yes it will jerk... I find my car is very hard to drive when cold unless i acclerate, its very jerky, and it will idle as high as 2.5k sometimes for a few secs

not only then, but when i have the clutch fully engaged (foot completly off) and i slowly accelerate in first gear it will acclerate quick and then slow down a little if you know what i mean. So usually i justh ave to drive with my foot flat to the floor and change gears quickly (at lowwer revs) otherwise the car speeds up and slows down a lot when i have half throttle when its cold

i should have explained more clearly
I t has a lot more to do with the differant rates of thermal expansion for the differant engine parts. Plus the viscosity of the oil when cold. for example your piston will heat up much quicker than your block and the clearances between the piston and the piston wall will get smaller then they would be once the block reaches operating temperature, during this time if you push it too hard you will get more wear than you would once it gets hot
but basicly dont thrash you engine when it is cold or you will wear it out

I just does it for a few seconds the first time when stone cold on a chilly morning.

i know what you mean i have the same problem, power delivery isnt smooth, revs seems to rise and drop.
Also you dont need to warm up a modern engine. Engines of the past yes, its not neccessary these days.
When your engine is warm you got to think your tansmission oil is still cold. It takes around 15-20 mintues for tranny oil to totally heat up.
