that is so truein this day and age, the current generation werent brought up with restraint and discipline, and run rampant because in their minds, laws were meant to be broken.
if i may go off topic for a little bit, the amount of times i've been told by my parents, or parents friends about the social restrictions they had when they were young...
they say i'm lucky living in australia, in sydney with what i've got, and that they had nothing, or not much. if it were our parents going through these p plate restrictions now, they wouldn't be wingeing or complaining. they'd just take it, and adhere to the new laws.
back on topic
we think these are unfair because we were brought up being allowed to do basically what we want to do. maybe to learn from our mistakes? i don't know
nicholas, i do have to admit, what i said was dodgy. a very bad example for what i was trying to get across. Good thing that the law isn't in nsw, and i will still be able to drive the car to school, but what i was trying to say that police target the p platers in sports cars more so than the p platers in old crappy cars. i think it'd be ironic if one of these "sensible" p platers in a sensible car, take example my car, a 2006 ford focus, 93BHP, has trouble doing hill starts. it would not be targeted more so than a soap box sky line, or an fto. if this law was in place, and if this happened, and if it were on the news, what would you thinkI really don't think (happy to be disproven with cold hard evidence) that people are wasting an extra hour out of their day to catch the bus to work because they're worried about wheel-spinning from the traffic lights.
1. If you're in an underpowered 80s hatch and you're not able to regulate wheelspin, you shouldn't be on the roads.
2. Despite what many forum members will tell you, police DO have discretion and ARE allowed to use it.
3. This law DOESN'T exist in NSW so no-one should really be catching the bus anywhere just yet.
"P PLATER SPINS WHEELS. CAR CRUSHED"
*picture of ford focus* (not of sports car)
lets hope i've conveyed that a little better than last time.
and yes, what i said about TT, ACA was quite wrong. wtf was i thinking saying "they won't make a p plater look like a menace on the road

i apologise for that one
