that is why he is looking for an LSD... danny, have you thought about the e-boost controller? it can control boost during launch to avoid bogging down or wheel-spinning apparently... also not sure if your new ECU has traction control modules set up for it, coz by the sounds of things the car seems to be a little overpowered (hence the loss of grip at 100kph rolling start)...

i hope you get the brakes sorted out soon!

well i think it has a LSD now as it is always both wheels that let go and the torque steer is very noticable in the dry, it is great fun in the wet. it used to bunny hop when you went round a corner and really gave it to her with the old motor, now you put your foot down just a bit and it starts spinning. Couldnt be certain unless we pull it out so when we do the gearbox will make sure. but i am confident it has a torsen style LSD. I am going to get some street leagal slicks for it, i am trying to get some netto tryes from japan but the slicks will have to do for now. but hopefully once we get the boost control working wont be so bad, the wolf 3D has a electronic boost controler in it just need to get it working.

From the pictures I can see that it is now painted black and white, correct?

Do you still have all the mounting parts/screws?

How's $150 + freight sound? considering other front lips go for around $300 mark brand new.

you could push me to $200 i suppose

HEY Danny,
If you got enough power both wheels will spin, even without an LSD,

thats true but even when you are just moving the car from a standing position and trying not to spin the wheels it often lets go and leaves two nice black marks on the concrete, and guess i wont be sure till we upgrade the gearbox, when i first saw the car at auction it had mivec controler and DVD player and lots of goodies but i missed it the first time but then 1 week later it came up again but was missing a few goodies, so i grabbed it, the nakaya tune models are so rare to see at auction, I have only seen two in the last 12 months

G1 let me think about it, there is only a couple of plastic screws at each end that hold it on plus double sided tape

and it is painted white in the photos on the hoist it has been taken off

hard to say i guess it would depend on which factory one and what type of car it was in, you can also get a ralliart LSD for the FTO, I have been told that they are the same as the EVO 3 and they where used in the rally cars so i guess they should be very strong

if u intend to do a lot of straightline battle, get a fully locked diff so both wheels are spinning together at the same speed (for more consistent grip / traction)... but if you plan to do some extensive track work at the circuit, maybe the open-type LSD can assist in mid corner grip to help you put the power down...

u have original P1
u better have lock-nuts, with different patterns as many as u can get
but those bastards still can take out...
I had 2piece 17inch 2yrs ago with lock-nuts and oneday it disappeared and my car was lifted up on bricks...
that happened in security garage my apartment..
and It's the rim u can't get in australia..i was almost cried
Be careful!

BTW how much did u paiy for?
I quoted 17" 2piece P1 for around $650 each with $700 freight cost
4rims with AVID tyres in japan cost 15400yen, which is around $2000.00
damn expensive
not a good country for street tribe..

firstly, sweet car danny. Now im thinking of getting a turbo 2

Are you going the mc day? i cant come (registration problems). Ill probably see your car on the next cruise.

ps my car has cusco LSD, and all i can say is.....SWEEEEET. It grips so well (prob takes half a sec off 1/4 mile) and deffintely suits the car :P

Hey Danny i should have given you the bonnet (creative fibre galss) in the 1st place, cause i cant get my car registered cause of that

Hey Danny we should get 2gether some time when we get our cars organised. What suburb do u live at?

Technically, it's called the P1 Racing Series II (not P-2), and yup those were the rims I've always wanted but they didn't have any in store at the time (6-weeks ETA) and i can't afford the 18" because they are $950 a pop (best price i could find) not including tyres.

i had thought about 17s but the spokes would look a little too shor for me and they don't come in the offset that i want for an 8' wide rim... and for a 17' rim, they're still bloody expensive!

maybe in a few years when they go down in price i might replace my current rims with those...
