funny you mentioned that, lol i was trying to figure out how to explain the blue i want. yeah it's pretty much that colour. a couple of years ago helped mum pick out a colour for her camry sportivo, the blue was the best out of the avaliable colours... and over the years it has just really grown on me

and michael, i havent gotten my body clock fixed yet.
i'm still going to be at 2am but now i'm working 8:30 to 5, rather than arvo/evening shifts :(

so freaking tired all the time, so havent touched anythign on the car yet, fingers crossed i'll get to start on it tomorrow arvo... if i go to bed before 2am lol

why did you buy this car? did you want to build something from scratch without hurting your own car?

michael, you dont want to see the interior it's pretty shocking, i think he's bent the mounting thingo for the passenger seat somehow, among other things. and no the center concole bit is in half lol

rock_it, can you please show me a couple photos of your car in the shade, at night, in the sun and under some artificial lighting (i know it's a big ask, but i seriously dont want to spend a few k painting the thing and not being happy with it lol), maybe just post it up on the gallary section and post the link up here or pm me or whatever :)

manofwood, yeah i got this so i can build it up and not have to worry about hurting my car, i'm aiming for the awd 6A13 convertion. on top of that this shell has costed me about $1600 so far ($650 to buy it and $950 to transport it from melb to bris), which is still less than i would've spent on a 2nd car while i butcher my car if i was going to use my car... and this way after this one is finished (in god knows how many yrs lol, doing all the body work myself, and as much mechanical work as i dare to as well), i have also made some plans for the one i'm driving...

think i'll be broke for the next 5 yrs lol

ooohhhh, sammi you are alive, where have you been eh eh??
i dont want your wheels, i look down on your wheels, :P jk jk.
and i wouldnt hold my breath about seeing it if i were you, it's still yrs away from finished... come to think about it, it's probably still days away from me starting lol
manofwood wrote:will you be using an entire galant chassis or just drivetrain modified to suit? interesting is an understatement
so far i've only worked out that i'm going to definately use the engine out of the ...galant VR4?.. (rebuilt with reinforced internals, pretty much what sam has done to his GR engine)
and definately am using the FTO chassis.

not too sure on drivetrain yet, might have to mix and match modified bits. I want some decent usable power at the wheel... 250kw ish  , and because i'm anal about everything, i'll make sure everything i use can handle more power than i'm looking for... so i might end up with a mix and match of something like.... evo/galant gear box, and a modified tail shaft from a v8, and bits and pieces from here and there.

all the mechanical bits are still in the process of being sussed out properly (i didnt intend on starting this project just yet, but the shell was cheap, complianced and not written off, so i had to buy it lol)

atm, i'm just trying to get the motivation to get off my lazy ass and start working on the body work.

    so far the mechanical side of it is very much similar to algebra i.e. 2 + X + Y = 20 --- FTO chassis + rebuilt 6a13 engine + X drivetrain + Y big brakes = AWD FTO lol
