Run it for sure. Best fun you'll have in your car I reckon. Some ppl prefer trackdays but for me it's the drags.

High 15, and if you do it right *a big if* then maybe a low to mid 15.

Depend on who's driving - I'm not too good so I'll give myself 17-18 secs.

Gonna take the Evo? There was an EVO VII at WSID last night, stock standard, ran 13.6, then 13.4, had some problems though.

I was just there last night, testing...too many ppl though. Only got three runs in the whole night. I've heard that Fridays might be back on soon.

EVO 6/7/8/9 out of the box are mid 13 runners. But to get it u need to launch them...the std clutch is crap...so give him a few launches.

actually ... the standard clutch is not bad at all
they can handle plenty of 6k launches
just that out of the box, there is a rev limiter to 4k ( before boost)
so if u jsut remove taht little cable behind the accelerator peddle....
u can get heaps good launches
not hard at al to get low 13's high 12's
easy high 11s with a few tasty mods

Its a average stock clutch and have seen many ppl fry in a short space of time under serious driving. 3 mates with a 7/8/9 have had to replace them already.

have u got anti-lag?

nah no antilag for me
i drive like a hoon
massive launches heaps and my clutch is still not slipping
its done nearly 25000km now
so maybe it depends on the driver?
not that i'm saying your friends are bad jstu maybe the way they launch the evo is wrong and just fry teh clutch...

20 big launches in one day on the track = dead. ok clutch, good design but wont stand real abuse other than some std street driving. The HD version is better, but still slips a bit.

LS1's are freaks! they get very low times for the amount for money spent on them. I guess they are 6.0L for a reason!

in reply to the vy

Post by phantom »

hey Oliver 89 im going by what the experts told me i never raced it on the quater.

i was told by my HDT mechanic that the brocks out of factory only did 15s on the quater.

but i know for a car to pull 11.2 sec the engine would have to be worked of its tits . thats fast il need proof of that.

il belive 14s 15s not 11s sory dood im not being mean but il need proof of that.

now back to the ftos i still want to know how much it will pull on the quater.
