need help with handbrake

does anyone know how to adjust the tension of the handbrake? i would like to do it myself but I have no idea how to. i'm sure its a simple task. can anyone help please?

Hey,

Are you sure you want to do it your self?

I mean it's just like changing the break pads, i guess we all could do it buy we don't want to at the same time as we don't really know what could go wrong.

I guess it's the same thing with the hand break tensions. If you know how to do it then I guess it'll be a good knowledge but would you be willing to risk your life for it?

I just think things like breaks are very important and no matter how easy it seems it should really be done by the professionals.

Just a thought.

i knew it was simple. i just found out how to do it....

you need to remove the cup holder next to the handbrake. below that there is a 10mm nut that directly adjusts the tension on the handbrake. you just need to tighten/adjust that nut. so im sure i dont need to pay a professional to turn a 10mm nut for me.

Then I guess you are right...I wouldn't pay some one to do that either..
