does anyone know how to adjust the tension of the handbrake? i would like to do it myself but I have no idea how to. i'm sure its a simple task. can anyone help please?
I mean it's just like changing the break pads, i guess we all could do it buy we don't want to at the same time as we don't really know what could go wrong.
I guess it's the same thing with the hand break tensions. If you know how to do it then I guess it'll be a good knowledge but would you be willing to risk your life for it?
I just think things like breaks are very important and no matter how easy it seems it should really be done by the professionals.
i knew it was simple. i just found out how to do it....
you need to remove the cup holder next to the handbrake. below that there is a 10mm nut that directly adjusts the tension on the handbrake. you just need to tighten/adjust that nut. so im sure i dont need to pay a professional to turn a 10mm nut for me.
fto12345 thanks for your concern but i take an active interest in working on my car. thats why i like to do most things myself.
