best bet is to look on ebay, most of the time it'll be from the UK. I was lucky enough to have somebody on the forum wanting to sell them.

Also, the thing about them that deter most people.. they're not cheap. Expect to pay anywhere from $1200 - $2000.

Not worth it at all for just taillights IMO. I was able to get them only cos of the circumstances I was in..

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

2k for a set of tail lights ? .. jeebuz ... Does it have an inbuilt clock or something ?? ...

Sounds like a market thats begging for someone to come in and steal all the business ... It couldnt cost them more than a few hundred to make those lights .. their nothing special , just well designed ... Certaintly dosnt deserve a 5000% markup on them ..

Deja Vu... or ground hog day. Either way, its happening again.

Yep, right on all counts. Trick is getting someone so set up a production run and then getting enough interest to keep the costs down. Thats why the project F ones cost so much. There were only 200 originally made, and due to the demand they are now worth a bomb. Looking back, probably would have been a good investment.......

Well off the top of my head I think they produced about 20000 FTOs per year they were produced.......Project F made approximately 1000 sets of these taillights.........you do the maths on why they're rare.

I have been working on altezza tail lights for a while now,
Found a manufacturer, which production was going to cost under $300, with all the necessary iso, etc.. standards
The catch is that, min 1000 sets, no one is willing to go ahead otherwise,
Already talked with few UK guys, if they want to get in and share the cost, but 1000sets is just too much,
It will take around 2-5 years to get rid of the stock I reckon
      Doesn’t make sense after all.

Is that for a whole new light or to just replace the plastic? :)

      You'd have to sell 250 sets at 1200$ to break even... it's only a $300,000 outlay... ;)
