GR intake adaptor

Post by Bennoz »

I've just had an idea (I know.."Calm down" your thinking lol "I can see smoke comin' outta your ears")

For those of you who have a GR & want to put a pod filter / proper intake pipe on, you need a little adaptor made up to bolt to the map (air flow) sensor to put the filter on.

If there are enough of you (put hands up please) that want one, what say I shoot down to the workshop & make up a dozen or so... do a little group buy?

Whaddya think?

This is what I mean:

GOT A QUESTION

Just wondering how much better the car breathes with this mod done(pod filter),

How much gain would you get on a GR with this type of pod set up as well as rpw extrators and a straight through 2.5 inch exhaust, noticable, or not???

Thoughts opinions

Btw, i realise the pod will give approx 1-2 kw and the exhaust maybe 5 - 10kw, just want to know feeling wise

Cheers

Swapping out the stock piping will give you approx 4kws (dyno tested at UAS) the filter will add another 2-3. Proper header to tip exhuast will add anything from around 6-10 depending on how much $$ you sink into things like hi-flow cats / resonators & mufflers.

Stock my car used to produce around 88kws, its now pulling around the 120 mark.

Anyone else for the adpator? I might make up say 6....

Wow thats a pretty big gain, what else did you do to get it up around 120kw.

Also the stock piping for 4kws and the filter for 2-3 any good performance shop should be able to do this hey.

the pod itself probably wont do jack sh*t...its the intake pipe that will help you.
