Tinted rear lights.. opinions please

Post by FtoSam »

okay, basically i was at supercheap and i had nothing to do... so i bought some lense tint...
the plan was to just go over my old lights:

Anyway i went a bit overboard:

Surprisingly the lights are actually very bright still...
Now i do realise that this is prob very illegal.. but cops are far more likely to defect me for my CF bonnet... :P
I also gave the fog lamps a very light coat and they came up nice.. cant really tell they're tinted..
also did side indicators.
Anyway let me know what you think... also here's a pic showing HID lights and cream interior:

yeh i know... took them with my phone..
as far as getting pulled over, im looking into getting extra bright globes installed.. I'll take photos of the lights when lit, but they're 10 times brighter than i thought they'd be...
But i asked opinions! lol.. i know cops will love me.. but they already do.
and i know my PDA has crappy camera...
Worst case i take the tint off with metho... :D

It's not really the brightness of the lights you gotta watch out for because usually with the tint the lights are still fairly visible, its driving during the day is when its a lot more noticeable / eye catching to the cops.. Anyways back to the orginal post.. yup looks good i like it!

lol well if u alrdy know its illegal and by not caring your turning that yellow defect into a red one

its illegal cos when your cars parked at night and someone drives buy your reflectors are meant to shine the light back from their headlights etc but u cant even see your lights at all lol VERY illegal.. anyway just be careful i dont get a red defect by doing other things risky :P

apart from that - all u need is your car to be black! to get the whole black look 8)

Speaking of which, I recently ran some silver metalic film (tint strip for a front window) over my tail lights and it looked sh1t hot

Took it off again as it's obviously illegal as all hell, but for a show car i would be mad 8)
