I would go with that size for a good mix of performance and comfort. 215/40 would probably be a more accurate size but a bit rougher on the ride.

Try doing a search (using the button above the forum not the one on the left) and you'll find a number of threads covering tyre choices

get soem Hancook 104s...cheep and very good performance.

Plenty of reviews in magazines and fro other froums using them on the track and in normal driving...best value for money.

I got some 265/35 and 235/40 for about $250 and $210 per tyre...the Mich. PP2s only just outperformed them in tests but cost about double.

Might wear a bit faster...but who cares when you pay half.

I think they are all good brands.

However times are changing...Many of the "lesser" brands are now making good tyres for decent prices these days and instead of paying for brand name... do some research on bigger forums and see what people actually think of them in terms of:

wear
noise
wet traction
dry traction
ride

I went through extensive reviews from both magazines and actual users (SAU has a few 20 page threads on tyre reviews) and I went for 104s as a blend for all the things I wanted...mainly traction in wet/dry.

For an FTO...I would go for low noise/ride. Not much power and most decent tyres will be fine..

usually the more agressive groove pattern the great noise. I had the Eagle Revspecs which were very quiet. Now i have the new F1's they are more noisy and less grip.

yeah I have the F1s on my FTO...quite nosiy I find also. Mine are the old model and I find them to grip well esp. in the wet.

With noise, apart from the pattern, its also depends on the compound that the tyre was made from.
