A lot of us have it yes, same design ... mine's a woodg one LOL
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

Yep

Post by dstocks »

Yep,

I did and regretted it. But then maybe im a bit picky. Didnt fit right, peeled off and had joins that looked really nasty. My advice - if you really want a good job, do what I did:

Costs more but you wont regret it - they do Carbon Fibre too.

Mine now looks like this....

yeah just got a set... some bits look allright.. but its so not worth the $145 that i paid for it.. :? The pieces dont even fit properly.. the majority of them are smaller so when you stick them on it looks pretty dodgy.. depends whether your picky or not.. when i do things i guess i just like them done properly.. :) btw dstocks how much did u end up paying for that interior?

    $700

$700, but it really depends on the number of bits you get dipped (they cost me around $35 per piece irrespectiveof size). It is the same finish applied to new cars that have CF or woodgrain finishes.

looking at the UAS pic it doesn't look to have as many peices as the ebay kit...
i've got a grey/black woodgrain style finish just to cover the cracks
in my centre console and i'm really happy with it...
found it was cheaper to get from a UK seller than an aus seller...
99% of it fit well and it's easy to trim the parts that don't...
haven't had any pieces come unstuck in 9 months...
for around a hundred bucks i think it's pretty good value for money
      .

      Different

      Post by dstocks »

They definitely are different. I had the ebay one. The finish itself wasnt so bad, but because it was cut from a flat sheet, it didnt go round the edges properly. The bits were also too small on the whole (but this was probably to address the fact that they wouldnt go around corners). Also, the top bit (around the clock/charge guages) and the centre console bit (around the tip/gear stick) had joins which looked really bad. I paid $170 for the ebay one.

        OUCH!!!

well i guess it's an easy decision for ya -
you want a quick fix done cheap... get the ebay kit (shop around!!!)
you want a professional finish and want to spend the cash - get the parts dipped

wouldn't recommend the UAS kit though...
waaaaay too pricey for half the amout of pieces as the ebay kit
        .
