Well since I had a FTO and with all those modifications before, I can say you can throw your text book theory in the bin. Yes you get more power, but better economy, not in a million years.Liquidity wrote:Either way, you get more power, better economy, and a nice growl. The apexi items let you tune your car to better take advantage of them as well. Could be a nice little setup.
He won't be the only one upset about it.....thank god my ex FTO won't end up with a veilside kit and the sound system is already $8k, so i know he won't touch a thing.vannil wrote:i dont think the godfather would be that happy how i turn his old car into a teenage hoon's dream lol.
lol i should have offered you $4k for the system...FTO338 wrote:He won't be the only one upset about it.....thank god my ex FTO won't end up with a veilside kit and the sound system is already $8k, so i know he won't touch a thing.vannil wrote:i dont think the godfather would be that happy how i turn his old car into a teenage hoon's dream lol.
Yeah I had a similar issue with the headers and downpipes. However I saw some other sets and they were much better than mine. Take the time to smooth out the joins and you will get the max benifit..Bennoz wrote:Hey yeah, this is Steve's old car...
Vannil, you'll need to pull off the Unique downpipes. They simply hook up the standard cast iron manifolds to the cat converter. The rpw set replaces the whole lot. We were always keen to see what the difference was between the 2 systems on the dyno. I dare say you'll pick up a bit of power / torque as the rpw headers are a pretty good design. Just check the finish on the joins thou. I had a few hours worth of works with a striaght grinder to get my set right.
Hmm more than that, for the extractors AND the downpipes it'll be close to 1200 - As Ben's told me beforeHobbsie wrote:
and why buy it when you dont even know what it does.. they cost like $500 :S
