Just wondering...

Post by valium »

Hey everyone.. I've finally saved enough and decided to sell my silvia, so I can buy an early model FTO GR.

However after reading through all the insurance posts by young people (18 here), I've noticed that it's a lot of insure the GPX. Will insuring a GR be a lot less, or just the same?

Thanks
_Phil_

probably wouldn't be more than 20% cheaper, if at all...

There shouldn't be any difference.

If it's a different year model, e.g. 95' as opposed to 98' then it's going to be alittle bit different as they look different to start with.

However, with gpx and GR should be about the same to insure.
It doesn't make sense as gpx is more expensive as well as better performance. But I'm not the insurer...so...

Cheers,

I think in my state (SA) they are the same for insurance as they didnt even bother to ask if it was a GR or GPX. GR's are cheaper to buy though - although the performance differences arent much.

i'd go with not much cheaper...

just curious why the GR?

as a GPX owner i think the GR is seriously underated by many people, and if you want to do serious mods to it there's a huge amount of room for them ;)
