Has anyone had a bumper from the UK group buy installed and painted up in NSW?
If so, whereabouts and how much did it set you back?
I'm tossing up between buying a motorbike, or throwing a few bob at the car... still have my PreT's replica sitting in the garage. Reversed into the thing last week, luckily it just scratched my cars rear bumper up (fixed with some cut and polish) and didn't actually damage Jay's work, as shifty as it may have been.

If you want I can give you the details for the panelbeater that's doing taking care of my car after the accident, I can vouch for him, he's fixed up a couple of cars for the family and listens to exactly what you want, plus his workshop is a lot better looking and bigger than others in a good location, and staff there is extremely friendly.
Just let me know if you want his details.

That'd be great, thanks!
I'm still not sure if i'm going to go fullrespray or do the front bar (jay's one), recondition and repaint current DC side skirts, both front fenders and the rear bootlid (de-lock and fill in all the holes) then slap on a CF bonnet.

President Body Repairs
Address:
50 Forge Street (Off Showground Road - if you know the area)
Blacktown
Phone: 9621 1281 - Just ask for Glenn Senior or Junior (father and son both named Glenn)
Really a decent bunch of guys, right out honest and make you feel comfortable leaving the car in their hands. Assured me they'll use genuine parts, show me the old parts before they chuck em out, and he told me he'll fix the golf ball dent I've got on my car for nothing too

Yep sold the DC lip but still have the skirts in the garage.
I do intend to fit them eventually..actually the whole kit was about to be fitted and then my gf sold her FTO and bought a series 2 so the front had to go.
To be honest any decent fitter who has dealt with fibreglass parts will have no issues getting it on your car. I could shoot through the details of the guy I use but it's out west (Kingswood), and you're probably just better off finding someone local to you.
Can't believe Jay is still making up parts for ppl on FTOOC.. he's a shifty c*nt who never replied to my messages.

- Not as many layers of fibreglass as I'd expect (compared to off the shelf kits in Australia)fto617 wrote:what exactly was wrong with the products?
it looks fine in the pics?
did it not line up or something?
no bracket holes?
- Not prepped (which isn't actually a bad thing but I thought it was going to be)
- Looks like it was pulled from a very poor mould, different lengths and poor fitting
- The first batch of ppl who got theirs shipped (ie. me) was okay but the others had to pay heaps extra for shipping
- Jay ignored us, especially after several tried to get in contact with him
