18x8 rims?

Post by RedlineGX »

Just wondering if anyone had on any 18x8 rims and if they had a problem with rubbing on the front inner shock? Offset is 42. Will be on 215/40/18z cause 35 is too little rubber for me. Rims are here already so if they dont fit will have to get coilovers and dont have the money right now

Im running 18x8 with a 225 & yeah it did rub a tiny bit on the underside of the strut. A little bit of heat, a little bit of hammer gave me the few mm I needed for clearance... plus pulling out the camber pins....plus 3mm spacers lol

offset of 42 is a bit high

i was gonna get something like a offset of 30-35 to use 8" rims and 235/40/17 tyres with.
though thats because i have about -2 to -3 degrees of camber and the standard wheels rub as it is on full lock :)

if you have zero/neutral camber it'll help heaps

Ok thanks guys. Think I might as well save and get some Teins. Btw Bennoz do you know the offset of your wheels? Yeah I know 42 is high but its the lowest i can get in the wheels i like and I'm trying to avoid spacers.
