turboing
i want to know if anyone can tell me if i can turbo my car with a t28 turbo running at 6psi... will it wreck my engine because of the high compression.. or does anyone know of a way to lower the compression in ftos so they can withstand high boost... please be truthful i dont want to blow my engine..

6psi is ok once you have the car tuned properly. Is this a mivec and what transmission? You should be fine in any case altho if I had a 4spd. Tip that would be my biggest concern.
I've been running 4psi for the past 6 months and will be stepping to 6/7 in a few weeks when my emanage ultimate gets here. And that's on standard compression. Just make sure its tuned properly, timing retarded etc and put decent gas in and you should be fine. If you want to be v.safe you could get a decompression head gasket from RPW but personally i dont think its necessary until you break the 6psi barrier.

Turbo is a T3 but the GT28 would also be fine. Single Sided intercooler could also work, depending on how you plan on running it but I dont think it would make a big difference. Basically you have to examine your situation and see what fits and work to suit. I currently have an external wastegate but you would not need one if the turbo has an internal one, that would be easier since it would be less piping.
