carbon fibre 'lookalike' dash kit from unique autosports

Post by Hobbsie »

im kinda tempted by the cf lookalike kit.. i was gonna paint all those pieces red, but this saves me the effort of pulling my whole dash apart since they just attach on top haha

anyone got/seen these before? does it look hot like actual CF or it looks like a cheap imitation?

I think it would look good if the FTO dash was a contrasting colour not black..

Dont go there

Post by dstocks »

Dont go there. I have bought a set of these in the past (not from UAS though). They dont fit perfectly and they dont properly bend around the curves and there are joins in rather unfortunate places. Pay the extra and get it done properly - thats what I did - www.dashboardcentre.com.au

the stickers aren't bad value for money if you buy em off eBay...
the eBay kits are cheaper, have more pieces to them and you choose the finish...

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mitsubishi-FTO-1 ... dZViewItem

not bad value for money if you're after a cheap mod...
try to get a dark colour so the joins in the stickers aren't as obvious

    Ebay

I bought the Ebay ones. They dont fit properly and they do peel in the heat. Maybe im a perfectionist, but I was disappointed.
