Does anyone know if it is that difficult to do an fto clutch?
I need a new one and my step-dad has done my last few cars... he's pretty good. but never worked on fto.could he do it with a car manual?
Its either get a standard clutch and mechanic or heavy duty clutch and step dad (stepdad+a carton)....
If you need good deal on photography, let me know.
There are only 4 mounts holding the motor in, the gearbox is one, the cross member holds 2. So if you undo both the last remaining mount aint gonna hold on that long. Its best done on a hoist with creative engine stand work.
If your stepdad has done a few on the grass out front before, I'd say he'd be able to do this one. He just needs to be able to get the car high enough to drop the box out from under.
