Lucky....

I got lucky the other day! popped bonnet jsut to check water and oil etc, found that my air filter had fallen off the hosing! proceded to look further, and found the nut and washer sitting in the grooves of the filter! rang my mate who is mechanic, we kinda got it back on but wont stay! so getting it welded tomorrow by aluminium welder! so pretty lucky it actually fell right off, otherwise bolt and washer prob would have got sucked in!

Yes, bolt in intake = half cut!

it sure does! very lucky i was about to go somewhere and the drive would have been about 60-70km each way! so if i didnt check it u never know what could have flicked up and went straight into the pipe! the filter was actually sitting about 15cm below it on the shell of the car! so the pipe was open for anything to go in! nothing protecting it at all!

yeah me to! looks like maybe it was a little bit of a dodgy job from the start! all being fixed up today though! so hopefully should be right from now!
