new idea...chrome window surrounds

Post by khunjeng »

I bought some additional window outside surrounds from pannel house a while back...My plan is to get them "chromed" or similar...would look awsome...like the new euro cars...mines a black car so they will match nice wth my wheels.

but...dunno much about chrome etc...anyone know anything about it? Like places I can talk to etc??

Mate, you can chrome anything you want. It doesnt have to be metal  Just do a search for 'Electroplaters'. Iknow of plenty in Syd, but none in Melb. There is bound to be a few.

One of the guys who chromed some stuff for me here a few years back 'batted for the other team' - reckoned he chromed a rose for his BF! 8O

Surrounds

Work out how to get your rear 1/4 window out before you pay the cash. It might have to be cut out for it to be done!. Its an extension of the black surround and would have to be done too.

there is a chromer in nunawading chris..... right near where hungry jacks is now... corner of springvale and maroondah (but on the other side i think).

however, when i took an aluminium strutbrace to him, he said he wouldnt chrome it.... as chrome does not always bond well to everything....
