Help!! Bagging Out FTO'S!!!

Post by Hez »

Im a member of the Hot4s forum and some ppl are baggin FTO's out! there is a whole topic on it and need u guys to have a say in it.
FTO's look nice, thats about it. If you're wanting a good jap car that has some decent straight line speed without sacrificing any handling then hunt down a decent civic, integra or crx. Honda seem to have mastered their pocket rockets!!! My mate has a mivic fto and my non VTEC YO!!!!! crx has him in every criteria. We even swapped cars and had a go and the crx definitly comes out on top, by far too. If your goin for appearance though then that's personal preferance but if I were you I'd be researching what honda has to offer!
with remarks like dat!!

I've seen heaps of pricks on the fastfours or hot4's forums bagging FTO's. I dont think they know what they are on about. Ok they Type R is kickass but i wouldn't a even touch a CRX.
Half of the guys on this website really know their stuff, but the other half are the most uneducated rice boys i have ever seen. Read through half of the forums and they wnat to know how to turbo their 1.6 civic for under 2k, or i just bought a auto lancer and want to do a manual conversion so it can run 12 sec quarter's.
(although i have sought audio advice on these forums)

pffft... no point wasting time arguing with these ppl... don't get me wrong, i have respect for some of the forumers from H4s and FFF, but yeah i agree with smorrison - ppl who ridicule other ppl's rides are only doing it to boost their ego and no sense of respect.

be it as it may, ppl are entitled to their own opinions, but rather than waging war on other forums, we'll just let our MIVEC do the talking and shut those morons up from the bullshit trash-talk ey? ;)

gotta agree sometimes with people bagging FTOs. Fast and FTO dont belong in the same scentence :)

I got an FTO, just stating the facts.

It's true. Was with a mate in his GTi when he beat a CRX. I thought it was pretty funny.

step up

Post by elmo »

I'm with Danny, anyone with a pissy little Honda can step up and I'll put em to shame. I've never been beaten by anything NA or under 5.8 litres....
But then again, a lot of Intergra drivers are scared to go me...

Payaya does have a bit of a point.
The FTO was car of the year and it is quick, but not "performance" fast.
Mitsubishi had the GTO in its performance category.
But to me it goes fast enough and looks better than 99% of the cars out there on the road.

names

Hence the name: Fresh
Touring
Option
If your after a cart that is fresh/different, and is great for long runs on windy roads aswell as a daily driver (or touring), take this option...
If you need to go faster, go aftermarket, the rice boys in their hondas are doing that too remember.

Let them think what they think.

I'd rather see less FTOs on the road, I don't want them to be a car like lancers where every ricer has one.

Besides, the mentaility of most australians who aren't into motorsport is straight line speed. All most people see are drags from lights or illegal street ones. They don't really give a rats arse about beating a car in a series of corners, all they care about is being able to beat a guy off the lights.

Different cars have different setups for different purposes, all I know is, I love my car and no one can take that away from me. You shouldn't waste your breath with people who bag other peoples rides, most of them don't know how the inner workings of a car works, just know what cars go fast.

However, I'd be interested in verifying the claims about a crx beating the fto. I've always had a thing about cars being too light, they bounce around a lot on rough surfaces.

what have you done to your FTO? so nothing below 5.8L have beaten you? you must have not raced a lot of cars then.

a type r and crx's arent exactly fast cars, around race tracks maybe, but strait line drags arent fast at all.

If FTO's were doing low 6's 0-100 low 14 second quaters, then i call that fast.

But 15+ quarters doesnt qualify as fast to me.

think about a Fod Falcon XT, it did a 15.28 down the quater in motor magazine, thats a taxi for gods sake, that would beat the majority of FTO's if not all stock FTO's.

Im just stating facts hear remember i have an FTO as well.
