Horsepower is NOT proportional to the cross sectional area of your exhaust tip.<BR>

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

The compliance would be your problem, not the shipping cost

Well you can always buy the car & then have everything converted to your own FTO.

Of course have around spare $2k for the engineer cert :D

    Im seriously considering this !!

If you got it over transferred engines and sold it with my old engine and mods i would probably get say $14000 and a twin turbo FTO !

you realise you will get bum shafted trying to import it anyway other than a personal import. even then it will still cost upwards of 6k on the road.

btw, to get it classed as a personal import, you need to own the car, and live in NZ for atleast a year

yes you could, and then you would only be paying for contianer space, warfing fee's i think GST as well.

but the car need to be chopped in half in NZ before been loaded

there is probably other restrictions as well

Or you can always import it as a "Race/Rally" only. That if you going to use the parts only & not having it rego in Oz ever.

From a Galant VR4, and yes because they are basically the same engine but bigger and twin turbo. although i thought the gearbox's were on the opposite sides?

    Cheers Schumie thanks for that.

For us Aussies though wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a Galant VR4 here?
I mean there's one on eBay here for $9900. This is of course if all your after is the engine.

Having another complete FTO for spare parts is also a nice idea though. 8)

So what motor is in that FTO is it a 4G63 ? How much you think it would cost all up ??

Im thinking with my setup to turbo a GPX all i would need is the turbo, intercooler, manifold, fuel pump,trans/oil cooler. Once thats done get custom piping. I already have the computer if i bought all this seperate surely i wouldnt be looking at to much over $5000 installed...
