tail lights- would u buy ?

Post by shue »

if i can get something like this made , recessed lights. the 4 pods will be equally spaced out. made out of fibre glass(to color code them) or carbon fibre overlayed at a slightly extra cost . i havent spoken to my supplier yet but when i do i can give u a tentative figure. shouldnt be as expensive as the project f lights to give u an idea i would say u'll be looking at paying less than 500$ for a pair. please post any suggestions, ideas and lemme know if it would be worth while or not

i havent spoken to my supplier yet , will need to show him pics of them and get a proper figure from him. they seem pretty simple and easy to make from fibre glass.have to also see what sort of round lights are available. the more numbers we can get for these the price will come down. once it goes ahead should take about a month or 2 to get them made. the only concern is would it get defected? if u guys wanna make any changes to them suggestions are welcome too. and hey if anyone is a fibre glasser and wants to make them

I'd def be intersted in a set but just not sure about the shape of the light housing. Think it would be cool if you could find a more dome shaped plastic instead of the harsh cone shape. But that's just me being picky

the pics are just to give u a rough idea guys. this is going to be made locally and not from overseas. first i'm going to get a sample set made up and then start up an group buy. at the moment i just want to see if its going to be worth my while doing something like this or not. redline i reakon they would look better if the light pods were more rounded. any suggestions and ideas u guys have do post them up as well

Well im a definite for the group buy, put my name at the top of the list.

Was thinking it might look good if the 2 inner lights were a little closer together, and a little larger and they could be the the normal lights, then the other 2 on the outside for indicator could be alittle smaller.

But, the ones at the top of the page, equally spaced looksnice as well

my 2 cents

yeah they look awsome, but one thing, do they have a reverse light, it looks like it has 3 brake light and 1 indicator, also I reacon they would look nice with LED's.

i think instead of having the colour coding like it picture 2 they would look better as the shue version with a clear finish like the project F. The second version looks a little "stick on", but if they were glass or plastic they would look like actuall lights.
