Paint job

Post by k3nz0_84 »

Hey guys, anyone can recommend a good/decently priced crash repairer in melbourne? My rear right quater panel has got a small dent (about the size of a credit car) and the paint job is abit dodgy as well. Oh and my bodykit is a tiny bit loose.

Can anyone give a ball park figure of the $ damage? would be really helpful!

Any help would be much appreciated!
btw i'm a newbie from SA thats temporarily living in melb.

I am not sure anyone can quote you here unless they a) have seen the damage and b) have worked in the industry.

your quote will vary on the quality of the work and make sure you tell them your paying cash and not claiming on insurance....

you will probably be up for anywhere between $200 and $500? depending on how bad the panel is damaged.... how many coats of paint they use etc..

I used ted naylor in ringwood and he was quite good. Best bet is to take it to 2-3 places and get quotes and see whom you like the most.

Cheaper is not always better with repsrays as it often means they are inferior with their work or taking shortcuts.

With rear quarter panel, they are a bit tricky, like Euro said, it really depends on the panel beater, you can either beat the dent area out, & then patch it up which going to cost a mini fortune, because you have to do it either from the wheelbase or from your boot, & FTO have two layer of metal at the rear quarter panel.

Alternatively the panel beater might just patch it up without beating the panel out first, which shouldn't be more then $500.
