I was wondering if the intake air valve thing is at all related to the alternator?
A friends car seems to be having a faulty alternator or dead battery, and while driving the engine light came on then off, did a error check and it came with 62, however I checked before by free revving the car and the motor off that this actually does work.
Error 62, alternator related?

It may work off the car,but when you remove it the butterflies spring back to the incorrect position,so if you re-fit it without adjusting the butterflies back to their correct position the motor will be unable to turn bringing up error 62
