Clean & Paint

hey guys just been doing my brake calipers only done 1 in 2 hours :S so far..but i wanted to clean my suspension aswell. its bright red (GAB) i accidently well on purpose used this cleaning agent with heaps of asetone in it .. (stupid) to clean the dirt and muck sh*t off the suspension on wich i used on the calipers. and the paint came up bright ass but then i noticed it started melting like the terminator 2 lol.

anyone know what i can clean these struts with .. without taking the paint off. ive tried metho with water. no good.. tried detergent. .. any ideas..

and do yous think i can paint them ? with like say same paint as caliper paint ? make em look nice and new ?

also noticed my bushes are really soft and craked ? are they supose to be like this ?

Go to an automotive paint shop and they will give you a prep cleaner. Just use water and soap to get all the dirt and mud off, and use the prep wash to get rid of the oil substances.

Be careful what you are cleaning though coz some things in the suspension are meant to be oiled!

I concur... like the time i cleaned all the monkey snot out of my spud gun
