I just wanna know what people are most keen on me doing so i know what to make first.

Heres a list of stuff that i'm planning to make:
Taillights

surround around door cups
vents

center gauge pod
cd player surround
drink holder
power window buttons
door sills
needle cups
dash bezel
side repeaters
headlights
fog lights
badges
radiator brackets
fuse box cover
battery box
various engine bits
custom parcel shelf
custom door speaker grill

Any other ideas are welcome.

off topic a bit, i want carbon mirror :)
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

Thought

Post by dstocks »

Heres a thought. I have been thinking of making a divider in aluminium or brass with insulation on one side that insulates the airbox/pod from the rest of the engine bay. This will make CAI much more effective for something like my ARC airbox. I think you could attach to the front of the battery holder and would have a hole in it for the intake pipe to pass through. Not sure how to get it to follow the bonnet shape at the top yet though.

Anyways, just a thought

Oh and id buy one of these off you if you could make it:

It would be easiest for you to start with the small things I guess.

Plus these are teh ones people are most likely to buy.
Door cups would be nice and haven't really been done in Australia as much as they have in the UK.

Custom rear shelf (minus spots for speakers)
      Undercar Air Diffuser
      Fan Shroud as above..
      Footrest as above..

I'll be posting up and selling things as i make them. after that you can get them from me when ever.
I have been thinking of making a divider in aluminium or brass with insulation on one side that insulates the airbox/pod from the rest of the engine bay.
I could make something like this but it would have to be different for different setups... different piping positions and filters an such so i'm not to sure of how to design one to suit everyone.
tip gear surround. i sent u pics of them .
I want to make these but because i have a manual i cant test fitment. later i may buy an aluminium one to copy.
Door cups would be nice and haven't really been done in Australia as much as they have in the UK.
definitely. i'll be doing these this week.
Dude those tail lights are a must
The tail lights are in construction but at the moment are just being done as a side job while i make other stuff because the lights are a big job and i need to make money in the mean time to keep things going.
yes i would say start small and make a good webpage as well, and have u tought of selling to the uk folk? big market for styling products there.
Good idea i'll get a membership to the ftooc as soon as i get a few more products. Yeah i'll get a website up as soon as i get time.

Footrest cover is a good idea. i'll add that to my list.
i'd love the fan shroud from ebay aswell if you could make it!
I should be able to make these, but not too sure yet. Will try since there seems to be a bit of interest.
Get me your details umm and what you have made and ill chuck you up as a supplier on Complete FTO
Sounds great. thanks i'll pm you.
Custom rear shelf (minus spots for speakers)
      Undercar Air Diffuser
I was thinking of making the rear shelf with custom speaker grills, but i could definitely make one without the speaker holes.
Undercar air diffuser. not sure exactly what you mean but i'm thinking a plate like thing with fins on it. I haven't yet made anything large so i'm not sure about something like that, but i was planning to make larger objects in sections that fit together.
      engine brackets (like type F)
radiator caps, etc.... or any engine bay caps....
i'll definitely be making those brackets, they look easy, just need the bolts.
I can't make replacement caps because i cant make the inner thread, but i can make covers to go over the stock caps.

Thanks for all the feedback people, i reckon i got a lot of work to do

      Mate,

I have been wating for ages for someone local to do an aluminium gear surround to suit a manual FTO, even if it has to be a one off.

Have the money ready and waiting if you are keen. :-)

      Cheers
