How's your Voltmeter look when running it should be at about 14 Volts IIRC. It would be best to get it checked with a meter as the needle could be out on your gauge.

less likely to be the gauge. does the car lose its charge while your driving? if so its got to be either the alternator or the 80A fusable link in the fuse box of the engine bay. if no, then its most likely a dud battery not holding its charge, try a mate or family members battery and see how you go, check the batt has water in it too, and also check for leaking from your battery, it would only ever be your gauge if everything runs fine, starts fine but your gauge still reads 0V.

i had this problem a week ago when i installed new driving lights, just check all your fuses first.

Sorry thats what I meant :? If you check what the alternator is sending to the battery it should be 14 Volts, don't rely on your Voltmeter as the gauge could be out. :)

To many Vodkas i'm afraid

Guarana

Post by dstocks »

Pity they dont have guarana fuel additives. That would help with starting problems :)

If the starter motor is gone, you can actually get a brand new Galant one & swap the internals into the FTO housing. Worked a treat on Sunraiders car

Alternatively, Panel House could do you a s/hand one - or Kempys
