Define Bad
Define Bad......
Bad as in cant keep a car on the road even if your life depended on it, or bad as trying really hard to push the car so hard that it shouldnt stay on the road.
[Edit] I like to think im a good driver (but im not really the best person to judge that). Havent had an accident in 10+yrs and have up until now avoided speeding fines for the last 10 yrs (although not sure how sometimes)[/Edit]

I consider myself a pretty good driver. After having the amount off solid 'write off' prangs I had as a young bloke - you learn...
Im pretty conservative on the roads most time... every now and then Mr Lead foot emerges... but seeing as I have only 2 points left on my licence (and have had 2 for almost 2 & 1/2 yrs
) Mr lead foot needs to know when all is clear for a wrap!

Even though have like 1 point left (due to f#%king double demerit points and a cop "estimating" our speed - well, that was 4 of them anyway...definitely a good driver.
Course, I now manage personal injury claims from motor vehicle accidents, so that kinda changes your outlook a bit. Scary how many drivers just dont pay attention on the road.
For example...
"I was driving along, when I looked up and noticed the car in front of me had stopped..."
Where exactly were you looking before hand???!!!!
Oh, and a little tip to people out there - don't drink and drive and be in an accident. If you hurt anyone, the insurance company can recover the cost of the claim from the driver at fault. This also applies to:
- Where drug use is involved
- Driving recklessly
- Deliberately causing an accident
- Driving an unroadworthy vehicle
So you would not only lose your license and score yourself a nice fine, but you could lose far more than that, such as your house....
Don't want to put a dampener on anything, but just something to be aware of. Don't know why they don't use that in trying to deter people actually.

when i was just on my Ps I was comming back from a chicks house at like 3am and decided to go down an off ramp - in the wrong direction! I didn't smash (good driver bit
) but others did (bad driver bit) I went to court cos one of the drivers complained and made sh*t up etc and they were so confused about how I even got there they simply gave me a warning not to do it again!!
Teach me for going back and seeing if everyone was ok...btw i don't know how I did it either!

I was driving up an on ramp on to a new road. I was looking over my shoulder while accelerating to make sure it was safe to pull out (good driver) my gf starts shouting "Look out!" I look in front and there is a huge pile of mud/fill on the road in front. I swerve to avoid it and join the new road with out stacking it or loosing control (good driver). It was late at night and no cars about. I keep going and start to wounder if the road is actually open as it doesn't look finished at all. I keep going and a bridge approaches. It's not finished and there must be a gap of at least 500 meters and a drop of about the same. For one split micro second I consider gunning it (bad drive) then hit the anchors and stop about 50 meters from the edge, pull a 3 point turn and head back down the road and go the long way home, very embarrassing.

here goes, not proud of this story but it may save someone a lot o grief just by reading it.
hmm, long time ago I was driving 2 mates and their GF's home one night about 4 in the morning. bad fog, dew everywhere. i dont know where im going so the girl im driving home first decides to shout "left here" just as i approach the corner. had my licence for about 2 days at the time. so naturally very green and instead of missing it and turning around, i being stupid tried to make the corner at about 80km. (not speeding it was the limit but still bad drivering) lose it, over correct and get stuck on tram lines. car actually pick up speed then hits something and bounced fully around. my foot hits full throttle in the jolt and we sling shot across the road. I manage to steer it between a huge fence pole and a light pole (superbly good driver. the cops actually shook my hand when they arrived and realised what i had done.) they saw that the strips on the doors were peeled off but not even the painwork got scratched how tight the fit was. So didnt kill anyone there, but luck also ran out and going through those poles i hit a massive gutter head on, car folds front end to rear and tire comes through to sit in my lap. Then of course the hunk of crap my car was at this point goes straight through an ANZ bank and whalla, five cop cars are there before we can even get out of the car and holding guns at ME, not the others, apparently only i look like a crim... sheesh. in the end they realised i didnt mean it, all was good and i never paid for anything, good old days i guess. their own insurance covered i assume
so i am a good driver, but its probably because of that night. so im strangly glade for that stack, coz i showed me exactly how things go pear shaped real fast, and have been a pretty good driver since. if you dont learn from something like that... you probably didnt survive it.

I'm a sinner, yet forgive me nothing. I'm a heathen, but forever free.
