Longest k's in a fto?

Post by d_stroy_r »

It's actually two questions.

What's the longest amount of k's a fto has done and how many k's does the 6A12 handle before a rebuild?

I saw one in the paper the other day with 260k on it... 8O

Depending on how the motor is treated (usually a harder than normal life in a sports car) I would expect a rebuild around the 300k mark. Again, all depends on wear & tear. If she blows smoke, then the bores are worn, its time.

If you've had your FTO for 4 years but only just joined up, how did you find out about the site?? :?

I was referred to by an Arnold from Hypertech here in Melbourne when I digging up some info on turbocharging an FTO. So for 3 years in the dark I didn't know turbo FTO's even existed......
