really odd question...

Post by Star_Lancer »

I washing car other day....and I noticed something on very bottom of back windscreen. It was an imprint into window...its so subtle you have to really look! It said 'garage tokita' and I'm thinking O_o "wtf?" so I googled it but the pages are in Japanese....and are down! :(!! Can someone please tell me who Garage Tokita are?

I know its a very strange question...but gathering from what I seen on page previews....they are some tuning company in Japan? If so, then @#$%^ my car has been doing track work or something and previous owner has just thrown stock stuff back onto car.

Help please!

Thanks,

Aaron.

I assume you mean it was an impression where a sticker has been taken off??

I had a sticker on my ford before I had it tinted..when I took it off recently cos the the sun fade etc you can clearly see the impression lol it says "I am a good f^&k" in another language and in fact its not a course as that ..more funny...but translates poorly

Anyway that probably doesn't help you at all but I thought i would share the story.

Well I assumed it was that as well so I tried wiping it off but it didn't come off. Maybe I need to use more elbow grease. :P

haha no that doesn't really help, but thanks for sharing your story.

i don't think it comes off..In my case its cos the where the sticker was has faded differently to the rest of the window...mine where tinted pretty dark also whihc might make it more obvious...

So is the issue the sticker mark or are you worried someone thrashed your car on a circuit?

Maybe your engine has some internal goodies you don't know about?

That someone has thrashed this on circuit, it kinda worries me a little, but at same time it's cool finding out history of this car....which I don't know about.

So maybe this thing can help a bit maybe?

The imporant thing is check for oil leaks, if its tip see if it jolts when you shift gears and the suspension should make MINIMAL to no noise. If you're a bit worried about the car get it serviced and get some feedback.

I assume you did the RACV inspection before making the purchase? Or did you buy it from a dealer?

Actually, I'd probably trust someone who's had their car tuned and tracked more than some average joe knob who doesn't know how to look after a car.

This is a performance vehicle, why not drive it like one (responsibly of course) as long as you look after it like one?

I gotta agree with you on the car history bit though, that'd be awesome to know where our cars have been and with who! 8)
