I dont have a pic or anything but on mine its a switch that faces straight down...very easy to get to kinda below the filter/air intake pipe...fiddle with them, sometimes they come loose.

Well i fixed this with a reverse selector switch from Northshore Mitsubishi. Cost $46 for the switch and $60 to fit from Maytech. Maytech also just did a service for me and they seem to be really top guys who care. We'll see how things go but so far i would recommend them...

Do you still have your lh wheel guard? A lot of people who have body kits no longer have the guard and water is more prone to splash right on that switch under the air intake. Always wondered what that switch was for.

Is it an actual toggle switch?

My reverse lights aren't working either, if it's just a case of flicking a switch I might have a crawl around this weekend.

its not a toggle switch, its a ball switch. id say what happens is that since the 'ball' end of the switch is buried deeply in the gear box, when reverse is enabled, the reverse gear comes over the ball and switches the lights on. very simple really... the switch is located just under the battery on the gear box (obviously)!
